About a year ago I reported about how happy I was that the American dream was alive and well after we beat ADT in a frivolous lawsuit they brought against us. Well, once again, the American dream lives on. Only one month after oral argument, the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals has affirmed the Final Judgment for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, which followed the February 24, 2015 quick jury verdict that found Alarm Protection Technology did not in any way infringe upon ADT’s name or trademark, nor did our representatives engage in fraudulent and deceptive sales practices. I want everyone to know that the court’s ruling sends an important message that the small, honest business owner can still succeed despite corporate efforts to bully the little guy. Clearly the court made the right decision by affirming the jury’s decision that we do things the right way and that ADT’s claims were both unjust and unfounded. I have always said that the customer comes first and my team and I strive daily to meet that objective.

As many of you know, Alder is one of the fastest growing companies in the industry and nation. We have customers in 22 states and we plan on expanding into additional markets and offering several new exciting services. Alder’s explosive growth is largely due to our focused approach on customer satisfaction and our ground-breaking residual compensation model for our sales representatives which provides both short term and long term value. This visionary residual compensation model provides a stable employment environment for our sales representatives and creates an inherent incentive to ensure our customers are happy. We are absolutely committed to innovation and continuous growth. We have no doubt that our best days are before us and all of us at Alder look forward to an exciting future.

You may wonder why I am posting this message. I love America and appreciate the opportunity this country has given to me to succeed or fail by my own efforts and the efforts of those that work with me, side-by-side. I also want everyone to know that despite efforts by the big corporate guys to bully the “up and comer” if you work hard and do your best to do things the right way, right will prevail – never doubt that truth. Thank you to everyone who believed in our company and stuck with us through this terrible and unjust ordeal. I want to always be grateful for everything and everyone in my life. To that end, I want to thank my faith, my family (especially my wife), the Gunster law firm (including Mike Marcil and Jennifer Nicole), two members of my team that worked tirelessly in this matter, Kyle DeMordaunt and Adam Christian, and everyone at Alarm Protection and Alder, and all of you that believed in us. Thank you.
