We recommend testing the setup of your camera to find the right placement. In a dark environment, your YI Home Camera will automatically switch to night vision mode. If your camera is facing out of a window, the window may reflect the (IR) infrared light and trigger false alert notifications.

If you are receiving false notifications, we recommend turning off the IR light or moving your camera to another location.

To turn off the IR light,

  • Select Camera1611005691753-20201209_185257000_iOS.png
  • Settings (gear button in top right) in the camera app
  • Select "Camera Settings" and turn off "Night Vision IR light"
