If you are troubleshooting a sensor that is reading open, but the door or window is closed

Do NOT reset the panel

• Check the magnet alignment/gap size and make sure it is less than an inch if that is correct:
  • Open and shut the door or window, check the panel to see if the sensor still shows open
  • Try swapping the placement of the large and small sensor (if the smaller half is placed on a metal surface)
  •  If the previous steps do not change the status of the sensor, remove the sensor from the panel, and then re-add it to your system.
