It’s called Auto Stay Mode, and it’s a smart feature designed to protect your home and prevent false alarms.

What Is Auto Stay Mode?

When you arm your system to “Away” from the panel, the system expects someone to exit the home within the 60-second countdown. If no exterior door is opened and closed during that time, the system assumes everyone’s still inside — and automatically switches to Stay Mode for your safety and convenience.

This prevents the motion sensors from triggering unnecessarily while you’re still home.

How to Avoid Auto Stay Mode

Want the system to stay in Away Mode no matter what?
Simply arm your system using:

• A Key Remote

These methods bypass Auto Stay Mode — so your system stays in “Away” even if no door is opened.
