If you are troubleshooting a sensor that is reading open, but the door or window is closed.

Do NOT reset the panel.

Check the magnet alignment/gap size and make sure it is less than an inch if that is correct:

  1. Open and shut the door or window, check the panel to see if the sensor still shows open.
  2. Try swapping the placement of the large and small sensor (if the smaller half is placed on a metal surface).
  3. If the previous steps do not change the status of the sensor, remove the sensor from the panel, and then re-add it to your system.

If the issue still persists, please contact our support team for further assistance.
